The idea
The idea originated sometime in 2023. Cycling from somewhere in the Balkans to Georgia or even Baku, Azerbaijan. But soon it become obvious that that route was way too far for a 2 to 3 months adventure. So which countries did I really wanted to see? Well, Turkey and Georgia won. Why? Two very hospitable countries with ancient culture, diverse landscapes, good food and not unimportant either, affordable. But Turkey is big, more than 1500 km from west to east. Georgia is smaller, just as big as Bavaria or Ireland. Again I had to choose and reduce to make it fit into 2 months.
