Preparation - the testride
Time for a longer testride. I didn't really cycle a lot the last months, it was just too wet and too muddy... But it's nice to get an idea how one's condition is... especially with a loaded bike. So I started in Antwerp and cycled to Goirle just across the border. There's one of my favourite Natuurkampeerterreinen : Landgoed De Hoevens . I was the first to inaugurate the trekkers' field. All to myself 😀 The setting of the dinner was great, which compensated for the not so stellar meal. On day two I passed by many nature reserves and ended on another Natuurkampeerterrein in Weert (NL). Some friendly but shy guys crossed my way in a military domain on day three. Do they know when the red flag is out?? The trip ended at the trainstation in Turnhout. The weather was awesome! Luckily I had the only nice days during the last few weeks.
